Dr Man is Consultant Chest Physician at the Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals and Reader in Respiratory Medicine at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College. He is medical lead of the Harefield Pulmonary Rehabilitation Unit, the largest pulmonary rehabilitation service in London. He qualified from Imperial College with Distinction Honours and gained his PhD in 2007. He has a sub-specialty interest in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, interstitial lung diseases and sleep disordered breathing. He is the current co-chair of the British Thoracic Society Pulmonary Rehabilitation Guidelines Development Group.
Dr Man leads a multi-disciplinary research team focused on chronic respiratory care and pulmonary rehabilitation, funded by grants and fellowships from the Medical Research Council, British Lung Foundation and the National Institute for Health Research.
