IMPORTANT UPDATE!!
Due to the actual situation in most European countries, caused by the Covid-19 pandemic the COPD Course will be delayed . The new dates will be 17th and 18th June 2021
Dear COPD Course participant:
Due to the current situation and the uncertainty in travel and social distance requisites, caused by the Covid-19 pandemic we will still hold the COPD Course June 2021 as on line –virtual event.
We had hoped that in February 2021 the situation would have been different and had wished to be able to celebrate this event “face to face “, of course, due to the current situation , in order to comply with the regulations and indications from UK Healthcare authorities, we are forced to do a virtual event.
Presentations will be recorded and made available online afterwards.
We recommend you to keep updated with the situation in the UK, by accessing this link https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus
The decision will ensure that we are able to play our part in flattening the COVID-19 curve and protect the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone who would have attended the event.
All currently registered delegates are invited to attend this interested event. As result of the decision to hold a virtual the event, cancellation refunds will not be applicable.
We look forward to welcoming you in the COPD Course: “Trends in Diagnosis & Treatments“ 17th and 18th June 2021.
The organizing committee.
About COPD
COPD is a major global health problem, now affecting over 10% of people over 45 years and being the third most common cause of mortality in high-income countries. COPD exacerbations are also one of the common causes for hospital admissions. While the main cause of COPD is smoking in Western countries, in developing countries COPD is commonly seen in non-smokers and is caused by the exposure to biomass fuel smoke in homes.
